Call me “old fashion” but there is something about on-line shopping that just does not sit comfortably. I can appreciate some of the “pros” associated with it, stores never closes, avoiding line ups, and perhaps there is a cost savings too. The “cons” too are compelling as you cannot physically inspect the product, what looks great falls short of expectations, one must have tenacity and patience for problem resolution, let alone escalating it and there are a number of illegitimate sites on the Web. All in all electronic commerce has made the world a lot smaller and a wee bit cheaper, despite the shipping and handling fees. A common yet appropriate saying comes to mind; “caveat emptor” meaning “let the buyer beware”.
