Day 294
My walk at Cottonwood Island Park this morning gave me a chance to see the last remnants of fall. There were a few people who were doing the same thing, walking with their dogs and kids in strollers, feeding the squirrels and chickadees, taking photos.

This little guy stayed on my hand while these people passed. He watched me as I was holding my camera and seemed to listen as I spoke to him. He let me take his picture before he picked up a sunflower seed and flew off.

" Sometimes all you need is this....and into the forest I go, to lose my mind and feed my soul."
Telling others to, “Have a Great Day” has a counter-intuitive effect. It can make the receiver feel great as well. So many of the challenges in life can be met head-on by approaching things with the right attitude. Like a good cup of coffee each morning, one needs to start the day with a positive attitude. Even bad days have an ending. Lessons over the years have taught me that the best you can do for yourself, after you wake up, is greet the day, wish someone well and say “I love you” to those that are dear to you. A little spark of love and kindness can put a colossal burst of sunshine into your day.
