Busy Bird feeders

Day 311

 Busy Busy little birds!

Having a couple of bird feeders filled with tasty treats for the local birds is very interesting to watch. Esp. when the feeders are located near windows.

These photographs were taken through our office window with the 75-300mm lens.

Downy Woodpecker

Northern Flicker

These are just a few of the birds that come and visit us. Enjoy!

Thank you!

Until next time!

  1. As much as I love watching the birds feed from the few feeders we have there is another reason I continually invest in bird seed. Birds eat much more than seed, suet, and nectar, and feeding birds in my backyard also invites them to feast on the insects, worms, snails, and spiders in around the yard (bugs that can destroy the flowers and vegetables). Feeding these birds will also attract them to the natural food sources in the landscape, including weeds. But supplementary feeding has also been associated with some negative impacts; however there is a belief that this good deed will remove the misery and increase good luck.
