Day 168
Taking an 18 month old on a walk.... I am not sure who puts on more miles. Is it the 18 month old with her short little legs...or her mom and grandma who chases after the 18 month old. With frequent stops along the way to check out stones, rocks, crows cawing and picking wild flowers along the path.
I had my 24mm lens with me on our walk. I do like the photos I took in color, but I decided to edited them in B & W which changed the mood and effect of these pictures.

"Life is better when you hear the footsteps of your grand child walking beside you."
There are a number of tutorials to assist in “choosing the just the right picture”. I am sure cinematographers have a similar issue. The one difference between the two is a mother or grandmother cannot decide as they are all perfect pictures. Why? Because they are of the children. Matching tone and colours with the correct amount of light while optimizing the surroundings makes little difference when choosing which one to frame or place on the mantel. Instead it is about the character of the subject, those beautiful and innocent actions as they explore the world around them. Photography is a powerful tool for invoking feelings.
