Day 176
Now that we are in the first week of summer, the garden has started to produce edible items. I have young tender lettuce, green onions, baby spinach, baby beet leaves and young Swiss chard ready to pick and to be eaten, even if its just in a fresh green salad.
I like researching different recipes, I like to keep things exciting at the dinner table. One of the recipes I have been researching is to make my own Rhubarb Syrup.. and my brother Ernie sent me a photo of his.
Earlier this week there was a request for 'Moms' Rhubarb Crisp, since I am pulling rhubarb for a crisp, I decided to give Rhubarb Syrup a try.
Thank you Ernie for the inspiration and Robert for the cool syrup bottles!! I think tomorrow's breakfast will be waffles with Rhubarb Syrup!!
Bon Appetite!
Until tomorrow,

Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Red is a very emotionally intense color. When a spiritual sign appears in your life that is red, it usually represents that you are ready to take action on a new goal or project that you have been putting off. The colour represents both positive and negative energies. Of course in other countries there are different meanings and emphasis. In Russia the word “red” means “beautiful”
