Day 208
When life gives you lemons you make... lemonade, lemon squares, lemon scones, lemon cookies (I have a great recipe), you cook with it, garnish it there are so many things you can do with a lemon.
Lemonade on a summer's day go well together, just fill that glass with fresh squeezed lemonade and ice.... ahhh!!
Our garden is giving us tons of rhubarb and I found a couple of lemons in the fridge...
So, if you are up to your arm pits in rhubarb and life hands you a couple of lemons...go ahead and make some Rhubarb Lemonade!
If you think of all the health benefits of lemons, and rhubarb in one drink! If you add a little vodka or rum.. now that would be a delicious summer time drink!
Here is a toast to my family and friends who are following my 366 photo a day challenge!

"The sweet just isn't as sweet without the sour"
Lemonade is believed to have originated in Egypt some 1500 years ago by mixing lemons juice and honey wine however credit has been given to the Parisians for inventing lemonade in the 1630. It is called lemonade, and not lemon juice, because it is a mixture of lemon juice, water, and sugar. If one mixed orange juice with water and sugar it would be called orangeade. “Depression Lemonade” refers to a practice of asking for a glass of water at a restaurant with a lemon, then squeezing the lemon into it, mixing a sugar package to make “free” lemonade. There is nothing like a homemade “..ade” during the summer months (any month actually) as you sit quietly enjoying life.
