Reflection

Day 29

Reflection: the image of something in a mirror or any reflective surface.

It is fun to take photos at different bodies of water, from puddles, ponds, lakes, rivers. If the water is calm you can capture some great images reflecting in the water. It is difficult to do right now in the middle of winter and everything is frozen.

With out leaving the comfort of my warm house... I still wanted to do my photo challenge.

With a little research (thank you Google!) and some experimentation, I give you Reflection and a bonus Refraction!

Reflection/Refraction

It was fun moving the water glasses around and taking photos.. then picking what I think is the best capture!

How many peppers did I use for this photo?

Thank you for taking a look at today's photo!

Enjoying Life One Sip at a Time!

While working on my blog, I decided to try one more shot, this time in B &W and my dad's old Zeiss Ikon 35mm camera!

What do you think of this photo?

  1. Water is essential to all life and can come in different forms. Yet it takes an artistic eye to take something that is inorganic, transparent, tasteless and nearly colourless chemical substance and present a beautiful image. This photograph, simple in nature and design, demonstrates some very complex principles of Physics, discovered by the Dutch in the 1621 ( Snell’s law). As the light passes through water, more slowly that air, it presents the appearance of bending / distorting an object. What you perceive to see may not be the reality of the stage. Is there two peppers or more? How many glasses of water are there?
