My Shadow has super powers
To shrink short or grow tall
And sometimes it would vanish
To no shadows at all

My Shadow travels with me where ever I go.
She is a constant companion when the weather is just so
She helps me keep a secret, a silent friend.
So only the Shadow knows!!

“The Shadow”… the radio show creation by Walter Gibson, debuted in 1937. The Shadow was an invisible avenger who had learned, while traveling throughout the Orient, the mysterious power to cloud men's minds, so they could not see him. There was a movie version of this popular pulp fiction hero produced in 1994. “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows." For others, we can recall the 1960’s band by the same name ( Apache / Kon Tiki). The shadow has been symbolized by many authors as ”darkness” and one’s life as “light” where one carves out a path of light among the shadows of darkness.
