Me and the Flowers

 Day 238

To take this photo of Me and the Flowers, I had to set my camera on the self timer mode, prop the camera on my bag on a nearby flat rock and dashed up the path to another waiting rock in the flower bed of Connaught Hil Park.

Me and the Flowers

I have heard that tree stumps, fence posts, picnic tables, the hood of the car, front/back steps make a great tripod or photo assistant! That may mean you are dashing in 2 to 10 seconds to get into that great shot!

Have a wonderful Day!

Until tomorrow!

  1. The “looking-glass self” is a psychological concept that says that how we see ourselves does not come from who we really are, but rather from how we think others see us. I have often said “I hate having my picture taken or I take awful picture” in fact, there are a great many people that say that. When looking at a picture your eye tends to go to all the bits you do not like, (and who knows us best but ourselves). Before you hit delete, before you say “arrrgh” or “@#% I look terrible”: pause and remember your brain is lying to you an others do not care. We need to strop beating ourselves up about our appearance and just enjoy the moment and the memory of the time the picture was taken.
