Day 215
During the summer when we have sunshine, it is the perfect time to work on projects around the house and yard. There is always something that needs to be repaired or a new project to enhance our yard. That way we can when all the yard chores are done, we can sit back relax, with a glass of wine and enjoy our green space our own secret garden.
Robert did a great job on the new gate. It welcomes you to our back yard where you can wonder around, sit, chat, sip a beverage, relax and ignore the outside world for a while.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my photos for my picture a day challenge!
I will see you again tomorrow!

"If you long for a mind at rest
and heart that cannot harden...
go find a gate
that opens wide
and into a
secret garden."
There is great pleasure in creating a space that is shared with others and enjoyed, this could be as simple a reading chair with a nice light and cozy blanket or refreshing an old look. A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches us to have faith. The glory of gardening is hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul. Gardening is how I relax. It’s another form of creating and playing with colors. Gardening, is a place where you find yourself when you need to lose yourself
