Day 7
Anthurium
There are about 1000 species of this plant! They typically grow in Tropical Rain Forest Countries. We are fortunate to have this exotic plant as a house plant! This plant is also called Flamingo Lily, Painted Tongue, Tail Flower.
The Red, heart-shaped flower of Anthuriums is really the spathe or a waxy, modified leaf flaring out from the base of a fleshy spike(spadix) where the tiny real flowers grow!
I have a 60 mm macro lens which I used for my photo challenge today. I was wanting to get a closer look of the spadix and get a Macro photo of the Tiny flowers!

Enjoying Life One Sip at a Time!
Beauty is all around us if we take the time to see and experience it. Confucius has been quoted as saying “Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it”, This is true in so many ways from the physical to the intrinsic, beauty is strangely various. Whenever you are creating beauty and sharing it with others you are restoring one’s self and teaching others to take notice. The world is not black and white it is filled the shades of colour, magical as time fleets by and changes what was seen to something new to be experienced. We tend to see less because we see things often although the beauty remains, it is invisible to many. Travel a road with your eyes and your heart seeking out the beauty that surrounds the world.
