Something yellow and red!! A sunflower blooming, finally and before the first hit of frost!!
Yes, I was taking 50+ photos of my sunflower with my macro lens, up close, very close, different settings.
I couldn't decide which ones to post.. so I have a few to share with you!

Someone recently said that Sunflowers are happy flowers. I think so too. I am thrilled with my first one that has opened to the sunshine and I am looking forward in seeing more open up! (stay away Mr. Jack Frost!)

Sunflowers originate in the Americas. Scientist suggest that the first domesticated in an area that is now called Mexico. They further suggest that sunflower may have been domesticated before corn by the Native American people. For thousands years the Sunflower have been held in high regard in many cultures and are often used in their ceremonies. They symbolize happiness and optimism giving rise to why they are favored for being given as a gift. There are eight colours of sunflower each with its unique symbolism. This is the flower of the zodiac sign Leo ( July 23 to August 22)
