Rain

 Day 262

What do you do when it is raining and you were planning to be outdoors to harvest, take photos, drink coffee or other beverages outside?

You light a fire, make jam with a friend and quickly nip outside and take close up photos of your Tarragon in the herb garden. It is covered with tiny droplets of rain!

Raindrops on Tarragon

The rain drops sparkle like diamonds on the Tarragon. I used my macro lens to get closer to these tiny droplets of rain

When I was looking at my Tarragon, I didn't realize that it is starting to flower.

Until next time!

  1. Tarragon also known as estragon, is a species of perennial herb in the sunflower family. It is widespread in the wild across much of Eurasia and North America, and is cultivated for culinary and medicinal purposes. Tarragon is used to treat digestion problems, poor appetite, water retention, and toothache; and to promote sleep. In foods and beverages, tarragon is used as a culinary herb.
Finely chop fresh tarragon, stirred into mayonnaise with a squeeze of lemon juice you have a herb mayonnaise to be served alongside shellfish or spooned over a warm chicken baguette. Tarragon plays well with a variety of fish, from salmon to tuna to snapper—and even works in a dipping sauce for fish sticks.
