Flowers

Day 120

Social Distancing #41

I have a Haworthia Fasciata growing in my house! Oh no! you say!

Another name for the Haworthia Fasciata is Zebra Plant. It was a tiny plant I found at my local grocery store.

This little plant originated from South Africa. In the 1600's Europeans found this species and took it back home to become a house plant in their grand living rooms.

  1. Houseplants have been around for centuries. The most common are those plants that are native to warmer climates ,frost free zones, so they derive from the tropics or near tropics. Plants bring natural beauty to our living spaces and been proven to reduce stress and lowers one’s heart rate. Some varieties help clean the air we breathe by absorbing toxins and acting as little oxygen factories. According to Feng Shui belief it is said that cacti, although beautiful, transmits bad energy, carried in their ''prickly and sharp'' thorns. Those that when cut leak a milk like substance are also said to generate bad energy. All in all plants simply make us feel better.
