Let us be realistic for the moment, the first thing that came to mind from the picture was to think about psychedelic art , that art of the sixties and seventies; rock music, protests, fashion and of course – drugs. The generation of “baby- boomers” started to question political and social values of the time and who were mainly responsible for the birth of psychedelic art. Many of us can remember this art form as it was one of the most widely exploited visual styles in culture, design, advertisement and especially in our digital age. Although psychedelic art remains on the margins of contemporary art, and may never return to its former glory, current generations look at it in wonder… What is old is new again.
