Laughter

Day 95

Social Distancing #16

I hope the following photos give you lots to laugh about. Yes, you can laugh with me or even at me! Laughter they say is the best medicine. When you are feeling down in the dumps, you are isolated from your friends, family and normal routines of life, as well as you are home schooling your children... time to find your funny bone and.... laugh!
We laughed at those individuals who are/were hording toilet paper, disinfectant wipes and groceries. I think laughing at yourself and creating funny moments so others can laugh is just as beneficial as eating healthy, exercise, keeping ones mind active, keeping the body busy, and working on those "honey do lists".

  1. There are many types of humour although researchers suggest there are nine basic types. But who is to say what is funny and what is not. The slap stick antics of the 3-Stoogies perhaps or the are you more the “wit & word play” type that strikes your funny bone. Regardless of which type tickles your fancy a good hearty laugh is said to cure many things. It releases physical tension and stress leaving the muscles relaxed for up to 90 minutes. It is said to boost the immune cells and infection fighting antibodies thus improving resistance to disease. “Patch Adams” an entertaining movie with Robin Williams, is a good example of how humour can be beneficial.
