Macro Monday

 Day 285

Sitting on my window sill is this small bouquet of Veronicas. Now they are starting to seed out and I thought I would try and get a few shots using my macro lens.

Veronica is most commonly native to the Northern Hemisphere with some species in the Southern Hemisphere. These showy perannuals bloom from spring into the fall weather.

You may see Veronica's in bridal bouquets, but they have been used as a remedy to relieve asthma and allergy congestion.

Veronica flowers represents loyalty and fidelity.

Have a great day!

I will see you again tomorrow!

  1. We value beauty for its own sake, yet many colorful flowers have much to offer beyond their good looks. Some can be used medicinally, others are good to eat, and many provide food and habitat beneficial to insects. Aloe Vera Plant is best known to remove toxins from the air like aldehydes and benzene. Unlike most plants, it releases the oxygen at night as well and well suited for bedrooms and indoor environment. Other included Hibiscus, Sunflower, Lavender, Chamomile(Daisy), Cornflower, and Marigolds to name a few, Of course there are a varieties of poisonous flowers that can be harmful, or even deadly, to humans and animals if ingested or touched.
