Day 295
When I was doing the research on Pumpkins during my Pumpkin Photo Challenge, I was inspired to do some pumpkin baking!
I won't be using my pumpkins that I used in my photos (I still need them for a the Halloween photo challenge) I have some prepared pure pumpkin that I have in my pantry!

The Great Pumpkin Baking Day |
I started with a New recipe. I have seen Sugar Buns posted on Pinterest and Google. They remind me of Sticky Buns/Cinnamon Buns, except they are baked in muffin tins and coated with melted butter and sugar.
I love the colour of the dough

While my Sugar Buns are doing the 2 hour rise..I threw together a batch of Pumpkin Muffins. The house is already smelling like Pumpkin Spice!!
The final Great Pumpkin Baking Day creation is also a new recipe. I was excited when I stumbled upon this one! Pumpkin Pudding Cake... and for those who like/love my Chocolate Pudding Cake, we have one in Pumpkin. Maybe this will be the new dessert served during the holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas..heck maybe anytime you are craving Pumpkin Pie! Tonight after dinner will be the taste test!

ReplyDeleteDessert originated from the French word “desservir”, meaning "to clear the table." Hence dessert is served after the table has been clear of the primary meal. Our appetite fades after we eat too much of the same type of food. A dessert course tricks our brain into wanting more food. Health journals suggest serving a sweet treat 15 to 30 minutes after the meal, giving time for the guest to relax and digest. They also suggest that a dessert after the evening meal create a high blood sugar just when you are trying to sleep blood sugar prior to trying to sleep, so dessert after lunch maybe? We all know that Sweet Snacks increase our production of the so-called hormone of happiness. I am way to happy now.
The Pumpkin Pudding sounds absolutely incredible! Got to try it... Thanks for the idea
