Day 341
This morning while we were enjoying our Sunday Morning coffee we had a Red Headed Woodpecker come and check out the feeder situation!
It was a good thing I had the 75-300mm lens still on my camera.

Jewels
"Find your own rhythm, Peck away at obstacles, Be colourful, Carve out a place for yourself, make your voice heard, It is okay to be a little flashy, Use your head."
The Cardinal has been christened the “Christmas Bird” for its spectacular red color. Legend proclaims that the Cardinal is the symbol of beauty and warmth of the holiday season. A glimpse of this brilliant bird brings cheer, hope, and inspiration on a gray wintery day. In the north( we are a bit different) we have a forest dwelling insect hunter called a Pileated Woodpecker. A Beautiful bird sporting a Christmas colour crest. This one is a female as there is no red stripe on the cheek. A Woodpecker demonstrates strength, opportunity, wisdom, resilience, kindness, and determination. Never one to give up, it sees the value in the most hopeless of things, including a dead tree and makes remarkable good come out of it.
