Day 337
Christmas Past ~ sounds like the story from the Christmas Carol. The ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future.
As an adult, I often reflect on Christmas Past. It helps me to capture the essence, that feeling of Christmas in the present. That magic, the glow, the smiles, the happiness, all those feelings that seem to warm my heart at Christmas. It also helps me to plan this years Christmas. With the way the pandemic has changed our world, I want to create a simple, loving, Christmas that will hopefully reflect and carry on into 2021.

Little Julie talking on her toy phone ~ edited |
I wanted to edit this black and white photo so that it still had that vintage feel to it.
This is one of my favorite photos.... I love how I am chatting away with my feet crossed... I have a photo of my granddaughter reading to her cat with her feet crossed!
I also love this photo of me.... I see the magic of Christmas in those young eyes.
Thank you, have a wonderful Day!

"When we recall Christmas Past, we usually find that the simplest things ~ not all great occasions ~ give off the greatest glow of happiness." Bob Hope
When we were children, Christmas was all about traditions, letters to Santa Claus, the smells of baking Christmas treats and making decorations for the tree. Unfortunately, as we get older, we may feel too old for these rituals resulting in the fading of traditions. Part of the magic of Christmas for children is everything is new and exciting. They get swept up in the mystery of Christmas – the whole atmosphere. People are generally cheerier. Bring back that excitement you experienced as a child and have a truly magical Christmas, whatever your age, try something new, do something different, put away the practical “list of need” and look for something a bit more frivolous to enjoy, wishes. Relive some childhood traditions, despite your age, and the magic will return to you. These new memories will make this Christmas one to remember.
ReplyDeleteHow about re-creating the photo. You have the same radio...
