Busy Bird feeders

Day 311

 Busy Busy little birds!

Having a couple of bird feeders filled with tasty treats for the local birds is very interesting to watch. Esp. when the feeders are located near windows.

These photographs were taken through our office window with the 75-300mm lens.

A Road

 Day 310

A road, a busy road, a street, an avenue, the highway, a gravel road,a paved road. We have roads that will take you downtown or to the shopping malls/centers, to the parks, rivers, lakes, airport and a road will even take you to my house!

To be a little different, I thought I would take a picture of the rail road! They follow the river into and out of town. Not only is this rail road used for goods coming into and out of Prince George, but, there is a passenger train that arrives here as well.

I took a photo of the CN Railway Bridge. Everyone takes a photo of this bridge! Then after the train crossed and went on its way... I had an idea!

Found a great vantage point to get this photo.

My idea!

I had to be quick, because I could see in the train yard that another train about to leave.

Editing Fun

Thank you for taking a peek at my photo's!

Moon

Day 309

It was a crisp clear morning and I was thinking about taking a picture of something unique in the yard. I was happy that the sun 'was' out and wanted to capture that feeling!

I had noticed that the moon was visible! I know a lot of local photographers have been taking photos of the moon at night esp. when the moon was full.

Waning Gibbous

I used the 75-300mm lens to see how close and clear I could see and take a photo of the moon.

Then in Light room I cropped the photo of the moon to get a closer look.

Then I decided to edit the same photo but in Black and White.

Then just as I wanted to try and take a few more photographs of the moon in daylight.... the clouds rolled in and the sun and the moon are gone from view.

During this phase of the moon, it is good to be thankful! This is a time of better communication, gratitude and creative flow.

Stay healthy and happy!

Until tomorrow!

Grey and Foggy Morning

Day 308

During November we will have a lot of grey looking days. This morning we have low clouds or a fog hanging in the trees, creating a dull, cheerless, drab looking day.

I used my 15-85mm lens, and had my camera set on Manual and used different f/stops and shutter speeds.

Grey Morning

Morning fog, a soft, silver-grey haze. Tranquil and serene here in Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park.

I will see you all again tomorrow!

Take care and thank you!

Travel Inspiration

 Day 307

Oh to travel again... the places we could go.... do we even dare to dream about traveling abroad? If you could travel, where would you go, how would you get there?

Traveling takes me out of my comfort zone and inspires me to see, taste, photograph and try new things. Meeting new people from around the world as we embrace new adventures, experiences and creating new stories and memories that will last a life time.

My souvenirs that inspire me to keep traveling

Just before Halloween,I watched the Virtual Tour of Transylvania on Facebook! I am ready to dig out my passport and book a ticket! Will you join me?!!  Oh to dream!

Until next time!

Wind

Day 306

How do you photograph the wind, when you cannot see the it blow?

The wind bends the trees then blows the rest of the leaves off.

How do you take a picture of you, Wind?

You blow the birds up high, and twirl the leaves and the dust on the ground.

How to I capture your photo dear Wind?

I feel you push me, and you toss my freshly combed hair!

How do I take an amazing photo of you Wind?

We can hear you Wind, we can feel you Wind!

How do I photograph the Wind?

Today would be a great day to fly a kite, and as well as, I am wondering what kind of weather the wind is blowing our way!

Until tomorrow!

Thank you!

Blury ~ background/foreground

Day 305

Happy November 1st! today, the weather is dull and grey. We took a walk to Wilson Park to see if I could take some photographs using a few ideas on my photo challenge list.

The first photo is a blurry background or bokeh effect. The focus is the dry wild flower and the blurry background adding to the effect of the photograph.

The second photograph I was trying to have more of a blurry foreground with a fairly clear/sharp background.. which tells its own story.
