Day 74

 It is the end of the week, middle of March a very interesting month for sure. As we sit and watch the developments of our current situation, life goes on. Even though concerts, international flights, sporting events have been cancelled or postponed... my photo challenge will continue! 



Today's theme is Fun Edits..

My family call me Paparazzi Mamma! So with that in mind I have created  a photo for you to enjoy!!

Day 73


What five items would you bring with you if you were put on a deserted island, or into self isolation? (That being said, your  medicine cabinet, pantry, larder,refrigerator has all the basics)

And yes, these items must start with the letter W or okay, contain the letter W.



I think about now, we all want to be hermits, hide somewhere, be in the safety of our homes with family support nearby.

 

My five W's

As you guessed, I would bring with me, wine, wine glass, water, wool and wipes!!

'M' is for....

Day 72



'M' is for Mini or Miniature, macro, metal. I found my 'M' in the parking lot of Cottonwood Island Park. First I found the screw part as I got out of my car and looked down to tie my boots. I put the screw into the cup holder of my car.

 I went on my walk and did my photo challenge and then headed back to my car, just as I was getting off the trail into the parking lot.. I saw something sparkle in the sun....  and there was this tiny metal nut! 

'M' is for.. Mini, Miniature, Metal, Macro

This mini screw is 1/4 inch long or 7mm long! To find such a tiny thing in the snow, ice, water, mud, gravel of a parking lot just amazed me!


 Is this a sign for us to notice the small and tiny things life. That small gestures mean a great deal to us.

Animal/Sleep

Day 71


There are two challenges on my list to do, Sleep and Animal. I was very pleased that today I could combine them together in one photograph.
I was out for my daily walk at a local nature park, when I had noticed that in the pond were hundreds of ducks! 
When I was looking through my view finder, I saw that they were asleep. I immediately walked slower and quieter. I slowed down my breathing and movements as I took the photograph.

Looking through my view finder.. I could see so were sound asleep... but one... on guard quacking very quietly. Warning me or his friends?

Zoom Blur Effect

Day 70  

I have seen a few photographs that photographers have used the Zoom Blur Effect.
While I was out for my walk I thought I would give it a try. I had my camera set on P for Program and had my 75-300mm lens on my camera. 
Basically, I focused on my subject and as I pushed my shutter button and then I zoom in quickly or sometimes I zoom out quickly at the same time as pressing the shutter button 

The effect is interesting it can tell its own story or be an art poster!

I am always working on a  needlework project.  I am always knitting, crocheting & embroidering up something for either the house, for me, or to give away. That means I am always on the hunt for cool and unique buttons or labels and tags for my creative projects. 

I found these buttons, and I will be adding them to my finished items.

'L' is for Lines

Day 68



We drove out to West Lake Provincial Park, which is about 30 minute drive from home. When the ice is off the lakes, this is one of the lakes we like to paddle around in our kayaks. Sometimes we spot otters swimming or an eagle watching us from a tree. During the summer this beach is busy with people enjoying the lake and beach.

'L' is for Lines

 The Cris-cross lines were made by a couple of snow mobiles running about the lake. 

I am standing on a frozen lake looking back at the picnic site and beach area and I see the lines made by people... and once the ice melts off the lake, these lines will be no more.
