Day 310
A road, a busy road, a street, an avenue, the highway, a gravel road,a paved road. We have roads that will take you downtown or to the shopping malls/centers, to the parks, rivers, lakes, airport and a road will even take you to my house!
To be a little different, I thought I would take a picture of the rail road! They follow the river into and out of town. Not only is this rail road used for goods coming into and out of Prince George, but, there is a passenger train that arrives here as well.
I took a photo of the CN Railway Bridge. Everyone takes a photo of this bridge! Then after the train crossed and went on its way... I had an idea!
Found a great vantage point to get this photo.
My idea!

A trestle, is a wooden of metal structure, differs from a viaduct that have towers that support much longer spans and typically have a higher elevation. Timber and iron trestles (i.e. bridges) were extensively used in the 19th century. There are typically seven types of bridges used in today’s world all in the aid of travel. At a half mile long, our Grand Trunk Pacific Railway bridge is the longest railway bridge in British Columbia. Designed by French engineer Joseph Legrand, it was completed 100 years ago, at a cost of $1.6 million.
