Today's photo challenge is Macro Monday.. and I used my Macro lens to get a close up of something I have around the house. It is something I use often, not frequently like I would like.. but often.

Lets see who can guess the correct item.

  1. The concept got its start when an American, Elias Howe, earned a patent in 1851 for this device. It debuted at the World’s Fair in Chicago in 1893 and was not well received. It has a long history of innovation, but the man credited with the invention of the modern version is Gideon Sundback, a Swedish-American electrical engineer. In 1906 he moved to Canada. It became popular in the 1920s / 30s. In the early 1930s the Elsa Schiaparelli featured it in her promoting them to be more popular with women.
