The Night Before Christmas

 Day 359

As I am preparing for our Christmas Eve Feast, and doing some prep for tomorrow's Christmas Dinner, I have holiday music playing in the background.

One of the Songs that touches my heart is "I'll be Home for Christmas".

When I sing that song in my head, I think about Home, the home I have now with Robert.

I also remember and reflect on Home, when my children were young, excited and waiting for Santa to arrive. All sparkling clean from their baths, reading "The Night Before Christmas Story", putting out Egg Nog, carrots and cookies for Santa and the reindeer.

And then a misty foggy memory emerges, of Christmas with my brothers and our parents, Christmas records playing, and us kids laying under the Christmas Tree dreaming of what Santa would bring, while eating the delicious Christmas Cookies our mom baked.

The Night Before Christmas

I'll be home for Christmas, you can count on me,

I'll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams.

 Enjoy your Christmas Eve!

I will see you all tomorrow... yes, I will be posting a photo for Christmas.. you can count on me!!

  1. Memories are a treasure that we all have of the past, in the now and planning for the future. They are a constant sources of laughter and entertainment, filled with love and sorrow. Make memories and share them often with others for they will always bring you home. It is the one gift that will not expire.
