My Town : Land Mark ; Cutbanks

Day 128

Social Distancing # 49

When you are visiting Prince George, one of the landmarks you will notice is the Cutbanks. They are visible from many locations around the city. The Cutbanks are a popular spot for eager types  who like to fill their shoes with sand by climbing up to the top!  The Cutbanks are located beside the Nechako River where there is a trail that runs from Cottonwood Island Park and you get a great view of the Cutbanks from the trail.

I enjoyed my walk along the river, the sound of the water, the birds flying from branch to branch, the smell of the cottonwood leaves.

Thank you for taking a look at today's photo!

I will see you again very soon!

Green Shoots

Day 127

Social Distancing #48

I love this time of year! Everyday something new, something from last year is poking up in the garden.
I love the way the Fiddleheads emerge from the ground all curled up. When they do that, you can pick them to eat. As the fern grows taller the Fiddlehead uncurls into a Sword Fern Fronds.

Staying closer to home, allows us to enjoy each and every moment of this Season.

Thank you for taking a look at my photo challenge!

I will see you very soon!

Day 126

Social Distancing # 47

Twenty-five years ago today, my children had lost their dad. Twenty-five years has passed and I know that with everything the children have done and accomplished so far in their lives he would be proud of each one!

Today, The Pedde Fleet will shed a tear while they will remember their dad, they will tell stories to their children and then they will drink their dads favorite drink with a toast. (Rum and Coke!)

Beautiful Tree

Day  125

Social Distancing # 46

A tree contributes  so much to the environment, providing oxygen and improving air quality. We know that the tree helps to preserve the soil, and supports the wildlife.
The tree in our front yard provides us with shade from the hot summer sun. When it is breezy, the tree cools us down.  This tree is the tree of life, for it is home for a variety of insects and birds. They come explore, rest, feed and socialize in this tree.

If you are out walking and enjoying the fresh air... it is okay to say hi and hug a tree!

See you soon!

Sometimes the rain makes you feel like everything is dull and dreary. With the spring rain the leaves on the trees start to open up! The day smells fresh and clean!  We welcome the rain!

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Until next time!

Bird Watching # 2

Day 123

Social Distancing #44

Its is another beautiful day to work outside in our yard. The gardens and flower beds are ready for planting. It is such a joy to sit on the patio during our 'coffee/wine' breaks to listen and watch the birds!

Here is a collection of our feathered friends.

Long Exposure

Day 122

Social Distancing # 43

I have a ghost in my house... I could sense one around, leaving crumbs on the ground.   A trail of socks with out their mates, coffee cups cold and half empty. I thinks she is the one that eats the last bite of chocolate !
I finally captured her image with my camera! She is a smiley ghost a friendly sort... I wish she would help me with the chores during the day!

My First Attempt at Long Exposure Photography!

My Ghost ~ Long Exposure ~ Self Portrait

Long-exposure, time exposure, or slow shutter speed photography involves using a long duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements  (my dining room behind me) while blurring or smearing the moving elements (which is me!)
Some photographers use Long Exposure to create a silky moving river, water falls for example.
This is a very new technique for me, I have seen amazing photographs done by other photographers!

Oh! I could have fun with this technique at Hallowe'en!!

Thank you for taking a look at today's photo challenge! I had a lot of fun! (Now to do some of those chores!)

See you very soon!
