Day 38
Today's photo challenge is suppose to be called Me, something about Me. Don't worry, I am not doing another selfie, .... yet.
Today was a little TLC day for me.. as women, mothers, grandmothers, care givers, partners, as humans in society we need to make sure we take care of ourselves.
When I was a young mom, it was hard to take the time to do any kind of pampering with out feeling guilty. When I hear about people who do take time for themselves, I thought how glorious! When I did, I ended up worrying about the family at home, I did not do any shopping for me, but for my children instead.
So, today is my TLC day, with no guilt... well maybe feeling a little guilty!
First stop a little pampering at the hair dressers, then to my favorite book store and coffee shop (a daughter manages and bakes there at the coffee shop). My first call is to head upstairs, there is a consignment shop with cute things. You never know what treasures you may find in a shop like that. Next door is a Yarn shop. It was fun to imagine all the great things my knitting needles and crochet hooks could create! ( I used my manners and didn't drool!)
After I sat with a delicious cup of coffee, a raisin scone and a Lemon Square, and watched people. Something wonderful about enjoying some quiet time surrounded by books and a cup of coffee!
If you are ever in downtown Prince George BC, Canada head on over to Books & Company and have a cup of coffee at Cafe Voltaire!
Yes, I am Enjoying Life one sip and one bite at a time!
See you very Soon!

ReplyDeleteEmotions play an important role in how we think and behave. They can compel us to take action and influence decisions that we make daily. Among the many emotions there are a number of negative ones that if not controlled can have a dramatic affect on living. Fear is the most powerful of these negative emotions yet it can also ensure we thrive and survive in our world. Emotions are complex and form a part of our unique character. We all have experienced guilt at one time in our lives, yet knowing this demonstrates, in part, some emotional intelligence in understanding ourselves and others around us. Knowing this allows us to make different decisions to positively move forward with health emotions.
