Wine etiquette is one of those things that, on the surface, seems unnecessary but it can be a powerful tool in some social situations. It is the outward way of showing that you are, indeed, not a monster. Subtleties of holding your stemmed wine glass or how you serve the wine from a bottle to your guests, generally 4 ounces in a glass. Of course many of these social etiquette have faded with time and the truth is you can hold your glass any way you wish and pair it with any food you wish to.
