Winter Walk

Day 20

Looking back at the weather from last week...trying to stay warm by wearing warm sweaters, heavy socks, and keeping the fire going in the wood burning stove. Everything was frozen including my vehicle!
Until today....
The temperature has warmed up... puddles on street corners... the street slushy. Last week, going for a walk, we are all wrapped up from top to toe... Today, coat unzipped, no hat, no scarf, finger-less gloves!

Winter Walk

I have posted pictures of Chickadees landing on my hand before. That is something I don't get tired of experiencing.

See you tomorrow,

Enjoying Life One Sip at a Time!

  1. This tiny bird has a short neck and large head, giving it a distinctive, rather spherical body shape. The cap and bib are black, and extend just beyond the eyes making it difficult to see their tiny eyes. They are acrobatic and love to show off and will often eat a seed upside down to demonstrate. Represented in Totems, they symbolize positivity, cheerful natures and sociable behaviors with flexibility and courage. If you ever feel weak or inferior, consider the tiny stature of the chickadee and the courage they display in defending their territory from something 5-10 times its size.
